There are four membership options:
If you are an Employment Development Department (EDD) employee.
- Rank in File members pay $4.00 per month ($48 annually) through payroll deduction for Bargaining Unit 1 or 4. EDD pays $50.00 toward your annual membership.
- EDD management staff dues are fully covered for their annual membership by EDD.
- EDD Student/Youth Assistant can pay $3.00 per month through payroll deduction.
Other State Employee (Non EDD).
- Refer to your bargaining Unit Contract for possible reimbursement.
- If not covered through contract, the membership is $98.00 annually.
Partner (Non- EDD) Individual Membership is $98.00 annually for those in affiliated organization and workforce fields.
- This membership is for those who are interested in developments in the workforce field, lifelong learning, or giving back to their community.
Retiree Annual Membership is $36.00.
- For retirees still interested in developments in the workforce field, lifelong learning, or giving back to their community.
- If you would like to sign up for Retiree Membership, complete application, print and sign it. Mail the application along with a check or money order to the Membership Coordinator.
If you want to renew your membership, please complete the membership application, indicate Renewal and send it along with payment to the address indicated.

The California Workforce Connection is an association of individuals dedicated to and interested in enhancing their individual competencies, knowledge and proficiency engaged in all occupations in the field of workforce development, training, and related programs.
Through a forum and exchange of information, our members endeavor to support each other in their continued self-improvement, support of administrators in carrying out programs, and promoting public and legislative awareness on policy matters affecting these programs. Our members contribute to their communities and their economic well-being, through fellowship among persons engaged in these programs.

Membership is for 12 months, commencing from the date on which the Membership Coordinator receives the Membership Application.
Non-EDD persons can simply submit an application with payment through check or Pay Pal to the Membership Coordinator. In addition to completing a Membership Application, EDD employees must check the appropriate box on the membership application, include their full social security number, and sign in order to authorize the SCO to resume automatic monthly payroll deductions.
You will receive membership benefits commencing from the date on which the Membership Coordinator receives the Membership Application and proof of dues payment.
The Membership Coordinator will mail you a New Members packet which you should receive within 2-4 weeks after receipt of Membership Application and proof of dues payment.
EDD Employee Members may cancel their membership at any time by sending a cancelation letter to the CWC Membership Coordinator at cwcworkforceconnection@gmail.com
It will take 2-3 pay periods for the SCO to process termination of payroll deduction. California Workforce Connection is unable to process refunds for cash payments.
CWC welcomes any and all returning members. Non-EDD persons can simply submit a new application with payment through check or Paypal to the Membership Coordinator. Most Lunch and Learn workshops are free for employees to attend, although a nominal fee may be required of non-members if lunch is provided. Contact your local chapter for more information about educational workshops in your area.
Interested persons can learn more about CWC activities and locate a local chapter in their geographic region.
Membership Renewal Notices will be mailed to you annually by the Membership Coordinator. You should receive your renewal notice January of each year.
