  • The California Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA) is an executive branch agency that provides leadership to protect and improve the well-being of California’s current and future workforce.   • Future of Work Commission – On International Workers’ Day, Governor Newsom signed an executive order (PDF) establishing the Future of Work Commission and announced the leaders from technology, labor, business, education, venture capital, and other sectors across the state who will make a substantial commitment to serve on the engaged and action-oriented Commission. The Governor has also tasked California Labor Secretary Julie Su, Chief Economic Advisor Lenny Mendonca, and Senior Advisor on Higher Education Lande Ajose to help lead the Commission’s work.  The overarching goal of the Future of Work Commission is to develop a new social compact for California workers, based on an expansive vision for economic equity that takes work and jobs as the starting point.                                                          Visit the Future of Work Commission website
  • National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) is the national organization representing all 50 state workforce agencies, D.C. and U.S. territories. These agencies deliver training, employment, career, and business services, in addition to administering the unemployment insurance, veteran reemployment, and labor market information programs.   • The EDD Open Data Portal provides access to view and download data and information related to California industries, occupations, employment projections, wages, and labor force.
